The delicious and healthy Korean cuisine is a part of the joy of Korea tourism that shouldn't be missed. Here's a list of foods you must eat when in Korea. 

Korean Dessert : Bingsu 
Bingsu is a Korean dessert made of finely shaved ice and topped with sweet red beans, rice cakes, fruits and other toppings. There are many variations of the dessert such as frozen milk or juice instead of regular ice, and your topping choices can be endless. 

Sulbing, which has branches throughout Korean and worldwide, started in Busan’s Nampo-dong area. Their most popular menu is the “Fresh Strawberry Sulbing," which is topped with fresh strawberries and sweet red beans. For a more upscale version of the dessert, you should go to the 5-star hotel The Shilla. Only available in the summer, the hotel’s The Library serves a delicious milk bingsu topped with apple mangoes from Jejudo Island. If you want to score in both taste and style, try the traditional tea house in Seongbuk-dong called Suyeonsanbang. Housed in a traditional Korean house, their signature menu is the “Sweet Pumpkin Bingsu,” made of shaved ice topped with pureed sweet pumpkin and red beans. 

Bora in Samcheong-dong features "Bora Bingsu," or purple bingsu topped with purple yam, and it is a popular upload on social media. Innisfree House Jeju in Jejudo Island is a cosmetic shop+café, with their most popular menu being “Tangerine Oreum Shaved Ice,” topped with dried Jejudo tangerines. As soon as put a spoonful in your mouth, your nose will tingle and the heat of summer will go away. You won’t be disappointed!

Gimbap
Perhaps the most commonly and easily consumed food in Korea, gimbap is made by spreading rice over a sheet of laver, layering various vegetables, and eggs, then rolling the laver. Other fancy ingredients can also be added when rolling gimbap. School Food is a fast food restaurant that served a great variety of gimbap such as Fried Shrimp gimbap. Bareuda Gimseonsaeng is another chain restaurant that features unique fillings in their gimbap like cream cheese and walnuts, and more.

Samgyetang 
Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) is a traditional health food that Koreans eat specially on hot summer days. The ordinary samgyetang is made by stuffing a whole chicken with glutinous rice, ginseng, jujubes and medicinal herbs then boiling. Gobong Samgyetang, a Michelin-starred restaurant located in Myeong-dong, adds sanghwang mushrooms and more medicinal herbs to make a more nutritious and delicious soup dish. Baek Nyeon Baekse Ginseng Chicken Soup in Hongdae is another samgyetang restaurant worth visiting. They add black garlic (or caramelized garlic) and perilla seed powder to make the soup more savory.
